Central Conference 2025

igår kl. 17:24
From April 2 to 6 The Northern Europe and Eurasia Central Conference 2025 (CC 25) will meet in Copenhagen. The local methodists, the bishop’s office and the Central Conference Council are excited to welcome all the delegates and guests.

The theme of the upcoming central conference are the words of Jesus as He departs his disciples and gives them his final encouragement to go and preach the gospel. “Receive the Holy Spirit” is a promise that we will not be alone when we serve the people and build the church; The Spirit will be with us. We take this to mean that when we gather to make important decisions for our church, we are not only in the company of the great people of the United Methodist Church, but also in the presence of Gods spirit.

We are going to have some very interesting days together. Among other things:

- We will finalize the process of making the church in Russia autonomous.

- We will elect and consecrate a new bishop.

- Through reports and conversation, we will evaluate the work of the last 8 years and look forward to Gods future.

- We will adapt important paragraphs in the Book of Discipline to strengthen our mission.

- We will also worship together in many different forms. We will celebrate the ministry of our outgoing bishop, Christian Alsted, and we will be together  and grow as we get to know each other.
